Fly, Superman, Fly

The second of Stephen Jones' con sketches from MCCC. It was also the second Superman sketch of the show, the first being by . While Jones has worked on Superman for the various WB cartoons, he -- like almost everyone else before him -- had never drawn the Max Fleischer costume prior to this. Upon seeing the reference I provided, he immediately seized on doing a flying shot. So here we are.

Seeing stuff like this makes me wish they'd make a new Superman cartoon using the Fleischer designs as a template. It's a costume design that always looks good no matter who draws it.
